Meet Bradley Freedman

Brad Freedman is the founder and president of Freedman Capital Advisors, LLC. Leveraging more than 10 years of investment management and equity research experience, Brad’s objective is to deliver an institutional-caliber money management service to individuals and small organizations within the private wealth management arena.

Before starting Freedman Capital Advisors, Brad was a part of the senior-leadership team within the equity research department at Credit Suisse Securities (formerly known as Credit Suisse First Boston), one of the world’s leading investment banks.  At Credit Suisse, Brad not only functioned in a supervisory role within the research department, but also distinguished himself as a discerning member of both the firm’s Research Review Committee and US Investment Policy Committee. In addition, he also had the opportunity to moderate and organize the firm’s daily U.S. Equity Research Morning Call and served on the firm’s equity product management team for more than 12 months.

Before joining Credit Suisse, Brad worked as an equity research analyst at Fidelity Management and Research Company, one of the world’s largest mutual fund companies. As an equity analyst at Fidelity, Brad performed comprehensive industry and company analysis in order to help the firm’s portfolio managers determine which stocks they should buy or sell within his assigned areas of coverage. During his tenure at Fidelity, Brad was assigned primary research coverage of a number of different industries. As such, Brad was required to perform both qualitative strategic assessments at the industry and company level, as well as detailed quantitative analyses, in order to evaluate the merits of owning a meaningful equity positions within his areas of coverage.

While at Wharton, Brad interned at T. Rowe Price Associates as an equity analyst. He was assigned primary research coverage of the competitive local exchange carriers (CLEC), a group of upstart telecommunications companies that were effectively legislated into existence by the Telecommunications Act of 1996.

Prior to receiving his MBA, Brad worked as an equity research associate at Vector Securities International, a specialized investment bank dedicated exclusively to the life sciences industry. In this role, he formulated and maintained detailed quarterly/annual earnings estimates, and wrote and prepared extensive institutional equity research reports, allowing him to refine both his qualitative and quantitative analytical skills. Brad also worked as an analyst in Vector’s corporate finance department and participated in a number of investment banking transactions.

Brad attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelors of Science degree in Finance. He also earned a Master’s of Business Administration in Finance from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
